We recently migrated from 2003 > 2010 in the process, we introduced an Exchange 2007 in the mix, as a temporary measure.  We never move any mailbox to 2007. Now we would like to uninstall exchange 2007 from that server, but we’re running into issues.

When attempted to uninstall Exchange 2007 from the server, we receive some error messages which indicate that there is still some Public Folder on the machine thus meaning the uninstall process fails. It is caused by the Exchange 2007 server containing some public folder replicas. We should remove the replicas as well as the public folder store before we can uninstall Exchange 2007 properly.

Mailbox Role Prerequisites
Failed
Error:
Uninstall cannot continue. Database 'Public Folder Database': The public folder database "Exchange 2007 server\Second Storage Group\Public Folder Database" contains folder replicas. Before deleting the public folder database, remove the folders or move the replicas to another public folder database. For detailed instructions about how to remove a public folder database, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=81409.
Recommended Action: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=30939&l=en&v=ExBPA.12&id=b6e3b32a-8848-46cb-9567-72288ac15f60

Some of the recommendations are to run these scripts on EMS

Get-PublicFolder -Server <your server name>  "\" -Recurse -ResultSize:Unlimited | Remove-PublicFolder -Server <your server name>  -Recurse -ErrorAction:SilentlyContinue

Get-PublicFolder -Server <your server name>  "\Non_Ipm_Subtree" -Recurse -ResultSize:Unlimited | Remove-PublicFolder -Server <your server name>  -Recurse -ErrorAction:SilentlyContinue

The issue with most of the info we have read is, it doesn’t just remove the Public folder from the Exchange 2007, and it removed it from the entire organization public folder. Which means, it deletes all the public folders across all exchange servers (2003/2010). I don't want to harm any other servers.   Then i had to use ExFolder to recover the folders. I've yet to find a true method to remove the replicas from only the Exchange 2007 machine. If anyone has a fix for that, please share. Thank you,

Like most of my posting, shortly after posting it, I found something that actually worked. It  required to delete something from ADSI EDIT. but worked like a charm..
