Hi there,

Our Exchange environment is completely Exchange 2000. We have 5 domains, 4 childs and one parent.

Based on the fact that changes to the membership of the Universal Groups are replicated through the whole domain we decided to use the Domain Global groups to house the users in the domain and use the Universal Group to collect the Domain Global groups. Result is one DL for sending email to users in 5 domains.

This works, the nesting of the groups. Plus we have the benefit that a user from domain 1 cannot see the membership of the Domain Global Distribution List created in Domain B. They only see the name of the Distribution list, not the memership.

But, if we send an email to this DL it is not delivered to the recipients. It stays in the Categorizer!

When I change the group type to Universal and wait for replication to do it's things than I can see the membership and I can send emails to the DL.

We would like to be able to use the Domain lobal groups and the Universal Groups structure. But, am I doing something wrong?

All the groups that are created and used are Distribution Groups.

Cheers
