Two NT 4.0 Domains with 2-way trusts. Each domain contains one Exchange 5.5
Organization. Each Organization contains one Exchange site.

Goal:

Migrate from NT 4.0 to Windows 2000. Migrate from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000.

Question:
How does Exchange 2000 handle multiple Exchange 5.5 Organizations?

Do they need to be merged into one organization PRIOR to the upgrade to Exch
2000 -OR- will Exchange 2000 roll the organizations into Active directory during
the migration process?

Current Standing:

This is my test lab results.

I have migrated both domains from NT (wtih sp6a) to Win2000 (with sp1) with a final result of 2 trees in
one forest (2 different companies in one forest). Migration was smooth. Made
Active Directory Connectors in both domains to each Exchange 5.5 server (sp4). First
domain migrated correctly to Exchange 2000. Second Domain could not migrate for
two reasons:

1) Exchange 2000 required the Exchange 5.5 Organization name to match the one
presently in the schema.

2) After changing the name, the Active Directory Connector kept stating that
synchronization was not occuring with the second domain's user accounts.
