I am wondering what is needed to upgrade from Exchange 2000 standard to Exchange 2000 Enterprise.
Is it just the media?
Do I need to purchase more/different cals?
Does anyone buy the 2 year upgrade assurance?
How much time should I plan on needing (not including backup).

Thanks in advance, The Phantom Jug

Also, can I use a "whitebox" copy of Enterprise for the upgrade?

Thanks again, The Phantom Jug

I had this problem.

For some reason your upgrade has only half worked ???

What you have to do

1.Take note of what service pack you have installed on your exchange server.

2.Right click on both storage groups and select Do not mount storage group on reboot.

3.Re-install Exchange enterprise, making sure you over right newer files with the older files.

4.Install the same Exchange service pack. Reboot

5.Right click on both storage groups and untick Do not mount storage group on reboot.

6.Right Click and mount both Storage groups

I have an Exchange server 2000 standard with Serveice pack 2. Should I install service pack 3 before performing the upgrade? It sounds like I will have to reinstall anyways.

This topic needs to be moved to the Exchange 2000 forum.
