I have an Exchange server currently running with service pack 2 and OWA. I have recently bought a new virus protection for my company which requiers service pack 3 on the Exchange server. Is there anything i should think about before upgrading?

If you have customised your OWA pages you might want to save the pages as SP3 is going to overite them. other than that i expereinced no problem when upgrading to SP3

i have found it easiest to manually stop all of the exchange services, the iisadmin service, the snmp service if installed, AND ANY INSTALLED VIRUS SERVICES.

the stopping of the serives makes the install smoother, and stopping any existing virus software prevents any problems (many of which are documented in microsoft's kb)
