I trying out a test upgrade from Exchange 2000 (Ent. Ed) to Exchange 2003 and although the upgrade seemed to work. I have noticed a couple of things:
a)The M: drive (Web Store) no longer appears!
b)I cannot access OWA at all, I tried Basic Auth for our std login screen but refuses access?
Any ideas?

Hello PJ,
a) Is normal, MS has removed the M: drive in Exchange 2003, also see: Drive M Mapping to IFS Is Not Present by Default in Exchange Server 2003
b) Do you use SSL ? If yes then try to enable Forms Based Authentication under properties of HTTP protocol in ESM. That will enable the new login oage for OWA 2003.

Aahh! Tried looking for that article in KS KB w/o success. Thanks for link.

Is SSL required for E2003? I'll set up a CA service and see what happens. Strange that I cannot login. That was the only thing that I could test out. Thanks
BTW, We have 1000s of users on our system, my little test system only has a few users. Would a Forest Prep/Domain Prep take longer (took 7 mins or so on test system) on a large live system. Anyway to calc how long?

No OWA 2003 doesn't require SSL, only if using Forms Based Authentication, otherwise it's just like OWA 2000.
How long the forest/domain prep will take, really depends on where you run it from, the best would be to run them directly from a DC/GC.
As all the schema/AD changes needs to be replicated to all DC/GC's, it can take a fair amount of time, but if you have a reasonable fast network, you shouldn't notice.
Sorry don't know of any calc utils.
