I downloaded the evalulation version of Exchange 2003 and have had it installed for about 60 days. Since we have fully tested the product and were satisfied with it, we purchased 100 CAL's and Exchange Server 2003.
My question is How do we upgrade to the REAL license number? Before I move everyone over from an older POP3 type server, I need to get this license updated.
I have tried to run the setup program from the Exchange 2003 CD and do a reinstall, but the setup program never asked me for a license number.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

You should just do a reinstall, typically you shouldn't be asked for any license number.
Have you checked if you're actually running the full version now? This can among other ways be done through the Exchange System Manager.

Hello and thanks for the response.
I looked in Exchange System Manager and clicked on HELP and ABOUT MS EXCHANGE and see a product number, but I cannot find the license number anywhere.
When I reinstalled the software, the setup program never asked me to enter in a new license number and my fear is that it's about to expire. In contrast, Windows 2003 was also a demo version and when I reinstalled it, it asked me for a license.

You don't need to enter any license or product key number, and under Help > About you should only see a Product ID.
Check below link to see what version you're running:

According to the douments listed on Daniel Petri's web site, I cannot find any instance of an EVAL verison in the registry. It just seemed odd that during the reinstall, I was never prompted for a license number. Thanks for the help.
