Afternoon.

Just a simple query...

If i install Exchange 2003 on my front end server, will this give my users Web Outlook 2003 if i dont upgrade the 2000 backend servers aswell?

We want to give users the functionality of 2003 without doing the backend this week...

i have been on an exchange 2003 course.. adn they said that i can keep my backend to 2000 and upgrade the front end...

but according to this article.. i cannot.

Yes you can install Exchange 2003 on the front-end server and keep Exchange 2000 on the back-end. You will have to run forestprep and domainprep to extend the AD Schema.
However, as you can see in the article, you will get the Outlook Web Access version of Exchange 2000.

So after i upgrade the front end it will not show the new fancy interface? i still will have to do the backend to get the new interface.
