 What is the user limit for Exchange 2000. just using messaging.

Status: offline 		The limit is based on your hardware config not by Exch itself really - well there is of course a limit but I assume that unless you are a very very very large international org you are not going to reach it.

There are a number of limiting factors - based on the fact that the DS is now held by AD, there is a limit on the number of objects that AD can hold - again this is a very large number.

How many users do you have ?
