Hello.
I'm trying to figure out a way to set the user settings automatically on every desktop they might use.
We are using Exchange 2003 in cached mode and when a user logs in to a new workstation they need to know the mailserver and how to set up Outlook. Does anyone know how to script or automate this?

Why not use roaming profiles? You only need to set it up once then.

I am acctually trying to do the same thing. I don't want to implement roaming profile. Do you guys know how to automate outlook config for users when they log in in as them.

Thanks

I use the custom install wizard (CIW) to create an MST for our Office install. Then assign it via group policy to all computers on campus. This allows anyone who logs on to any computer on campus to have outlook totally configured for it. Works great!

Only thing I can't figure out is what to do when I have multiple Exchange servers and it needs to change with each user who logs on. Any ideas on that one would be appreciated!

I have also setup the Exchange server via the Custom Maintanence Wizard however I incorporated it into the SOE. It could also be added into a login script should you not wish to use Group Policies.
