I have installed Exchange Server 2007 and all is working fine, however the users who log in first thing in the morning and have Outlook 2007 open all day, they need to provide their credentials up to 3 - 4 times a day?
Is this standard?
How can i fix it so that they are not prompted after authenticating to the DC.
I am using a self signed certificate.
Any help would be appreciated.

Any reason you haven't changed the SSL certificate for a commercial certificate?
Instincts point to an authentication setting being wrong on one of the virtual directories. The autodiscover diagnostics might show you which folder is triggering the process.

Although are you sure it is Exchange doing the authentication prompt? I have seen it caused by another server where the DNS isn't set correctly.

Looking at getting a commercial certificate soon.
When the user is prompted for credentials it is coming for the Exchange server as it states it on the top of the dialog box.
I have tested the auto discover and dont remember seeing anything wrong.
I have all the servers pointing to the DNS server onsite and there are no errors in the DNS eventlog.
I do get the standard error about not having a FQDN in the cert, that has been there since day one.
