Hi
I am using Loopback processing mode on a Group Policy to run a script entered into the
Computer Configuration>Windows Settings>Scripts>Startup
for any user that logs onto the computer regardless of their Group membership.

The script maps a drive that is dependent on the computer location which is established by the computer belonging to a relevant group.
It apears to work just fine except that the drive is shown in 'My Computer' as a disconnected Network Drive. Double clicking the drive provides access but does not remove the 'disconnected' status.
As it works, it may not be really important but I can forsee a lot of questions from users when they spot the 'disconnected'.
Has anyone any ideas as to how I can make it display 'normally'

John - thanks for your input.
I'm not sure about the relevance as the same drive (using the same batch file) maps OK if I run it as a user logon script. But as the symptoms are very similar (and we are using Symantec Endpoint) I took a look at the relevant registry entries - and the 'disconencted' drive isn't listed!
All the other mapped drives appear as eg \##TARRANGO#SHARED#APPLICATIONS#REAPIT
and there a heap of entries with incomprehensible names like
\{0C0CE98F-4A8F-4F11-AF44-FCEACB588824} (all Drives)

I have come across a vbs script that mounts drives after checking the registry and deleting any entries for the drives being mapped - at least that is what the description says, as I last programmed over 40 years ago in BAL on an IBM 360 it's going to take me a while to understand it before I risk using it!

Any input or thoughts very welcome
