Status: offline 		We are moving our priv and public stores off of one SAN to a new SAN next weekend. I was going to do a regular file copy to a temp location (with Exchange shut down), remove the old drives, create the new drives, and then copy the databases back to the new SAN from the temp location.

I was told there is a utility which allows you to copy Exchange databases extremely fast. I can not find any info on this. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Status: offline 		The utility is called esefile.

I do not see this included with Exchange 2003 but do see it with Exchange 2000.

Any reason for this?

Status: offline 		Use Exchange 2003 Eseutil.exe instead, all functions included in Esefile.exe was moved into Eseutil.exe.

Is it just as fast? Esefile moved data fairly quickly.

Status: offline 		Yes just as fast, you should really test it out in your test lab to get some experience before starting to use it in production environments.
