The VS1\Queue in Mailroot is empty. The Server Queue in ESM shows dozens of email in retry with the message: The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt. Nslookup set to MX shows information for each of these mail addresses and I assume, therefore, ability to communicate with the mail server. DNSSTUFF.COM shows no spam complaints against my MX IP address, except with Spam Cannibal for a very old complaint. The Exchange SBS server has been running since January1, 2007 without this occurring. The ISP has been upgrading security but denies anything it has been done is stopping the mail. Nothing was changed for the server or the external firewall or to the local area network contemptorarily to this event. Mail is coming in, but users report that customers call saying mail is not being received. How do I know the mail has left? Where is this queued mail shown in the ESM queue? Marston Lovell

I didn't realize there is a DNS setting in Default SMTP Virtual Server properties in SMTP in Protocols under the server name in Servers. It is under the Advanced button of the Delivery tab. Our ISP changed their DNS servers' IP. Though I still don't know where the queue identified in ESM is located, the problem is solved. Marston Lovell
