No easy way to get that information unless you login to their mailbox via Outlook or OWA.  If you wanted to remove a sensitive email, I would either see if the sender can do a Recall or use export-mailbox to delete the email.

A few things about Recall that I've noticed:

  • You only have that option if the email is unread.
  • Even if it is unread, the Recall will send a secondary email which the user will need to open first.  If the user opens the original email even though they have the recall email, they will still be able to view the original email.

Hi,

Unfortunately, there is no way that I'm aware of to be able to view a community mailbox and see if a message is unread unless you jumped in through Outlook or OWA and looked that way.  There isnt a log that would be that refined to be able to provide you with that much information.  You can possibly go through CAS logs to see connections but you would not be able to know for sure that that is the way an email was viewed and not through Outlook.
