I've got an exchange server that does not like any account other than administrator having access to local admin group. I setup a domain account for Veritas backup exec 9.1 to have access to exchange servers for backup purposes. I tried to connect to this one server and it asks for login creditials. I added that domain account to remote desktop group and can't login... I can use this account to connect to other servers just not this one. I added a second account to local admin group just to see what would happen... got same result... can't login. This is my front end server so OWA is configured and works great... any ideas?

Are you saying that when you go to computer management on the local machine you can't add the Veritas account in as a local admin?
If that's the case then do a test.. The Domain Admins groups ought to be a member of the Administrators local group. Temporarily add in the Veritas account to the Domain Admins group and see if that resolves your issue. I get the impression that there's a Policy in place, although I'm not a policy expert so couldn't suggest which hisec type policy it might be.

I verified that domain admin group was added as to the local admin group and was. I removed it and then added again with the same result... requesting login credentials. I removed veritas from the group and readded... I'll look back though my event logs and see if I find anything else that might point me in the right direction and I'll post the results. Thanks for all your help!
