We are running exchange 2003 enterprise server. We had no problems with owa on Win Xp but with Vista with Office 2007 on our new models OWA 2003 will open but when you go to compose reply or foward email you get a blue screen at the bottom. Does anyone have an idea about this? Your help in this matter would be a great help.

I didnt get what you mean by blue screen, at the place where you write your email? the compose box? or below it? there must be some hostfix for OWA with respect to IE7, this can be somewhat similar to problem of not able to see Compose box, there has been lots of changes in IE7 thats why there can be problem. may be in the next SP of exchange 2003 all things will be fixed.

This also works on the client end. he Solution: 1. In OWA, click on the "options" in the left Task Pane. 2. Under “E-mail Security” and Click Install or Upgrade the S/MIME Control. This will download a new add-on. 3. Click “RUN” when asked about the Microsoft Outlook Web Access S/MIME install and security warning. 4. Close and RESTART IE7

Hello Platoo, Yes it may also work as you are telling it, but problem is with clients, if the clients are much educated to fix in the manner you describe its well and good, but i have noticed many a times to explain users is not quite easy job. Thats why better option to fix it on server side. But your way is also a trick to achive results. Thanks for your post. take care

I applied that patch and restarted our server. Then calls from our consultant abroad came in, they can't access their OWA (even in WinXP). It's displaying page cannot be displayed. Did I miss doing something? I tried reverting back by uninstalling the patch first so we can give an access to the old users first... restarted the server, but it's just the same error. Oh, and am getting this system log error -- The server was unable to add the virtual root '/Exadmin' for the directory.... due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified. The data is the error code. ...help?

Great, you're there already... I really waited, badly need help... Below is the error message am getting when I access our OWA: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. What you can try: Diagnose Connection Problems More information This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including: Internet connectivity has been lost. The website is temporarily unavailable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable. The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain. If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section. For offline users You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages. To view subscribed feeds Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view. To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages) Click Tools , and then click Work Offline. Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view.

Looking at the options -- we definitely have an internet connection, and it's not an HTTPS address. Our DNS is registered already with its domain... am only left with the last option -- which is our DNS is currently not reachable... My PC which is currently connected with the network, obviously can access and ping our DNS... I had 1 PC configured separately with anther ISP, it cannot get thru our OWA. Checked with our firewall, we already have a policy created wherein it can get in and out of the firewall... Might be missing anything else.. badly need help.

here is my assumption in your case. 1. exch server in your company. 2. you are trying to access your OWA via internet and not intranet OWA is accessible via intranet ? for example http://excha_server/exchange

there is an Iframe patch that needs to be installed on all exchagne severs that are hosting mailboxes. Exchange2003-KB911829-v3-x86-ENU.exe is the patch you need to install. this is to fox that exact issue with Vista.

After updating and restarting the server, that was when even our XP users can't access our OWA. I had no choice at that time but to revert back from our old setup to give our XP users (who are majority of our users). But even reverting back didn't solve the problem. I kept on getting an HTTP Error 404 - File not found in my browser.
