Hello Ismail

I had installed on all my exchange server the Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 1 (KB945684) and I see Exchange 2007 SP1 Rollup 2 is now available :-)

I have controlled again both Node, and now I see on the active node (node A), I have the registry entry [Watermark eefe939a], can I delete this entry? And my next question why I have this entry only on the Active node?

Regards
Ad

I had deleted  the ClusteredMailboxServer Registry Key completely, after this step the Best Practices Analyzer could be back to normal,

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\v8.0\ClusteredMailboxServer]"Action"="Install""Watermark"=dword:eefe939a

and I had also Installed successfully the  Update Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948016/en-us)
But I have still the following warning and error information in my cluster.log,  can you please explain to me why I have this message?

WARN Microsoft Exchange Information Store <Exchange Information Store Instance (myserver)>: [EXRES] EcListMdbStatus() returned error 0
ERR  Majority Node Set <Majority Node Set>: Flags 20320000
WARN Microsoft Exchange Information Store <Exchange Information Store Instance (myserver)>: [EXRES] EcListMdbStatus() returned error 0
WARN Microsoft Exchange Information Store <Exchange Information Store Instance (myserver)>: [EXRES] EcListMdbStatus() returned error 0

I thank you in advance for your help..

hi mate,

lets assume -
NodeA
NodeB
and Hub Server (MNS File Share)
Let's say your Node A is active node and Node B is passive node. Due to certaing circumstance both node goes down and finally you are bringing up the NodeB - in this situation what will the case - will node B will take  the ownership.

Because i faced this issue but i am not sure in your case
for resolution i tried the below steps

> http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=944971 - install the hotfix.
> Make sure you have enabled File and print sharing in the private network as well
> Keep the private nic card in the mixed mode as like we have for public card - open the cluster console => Network => private n/w card : properties mixed mode.
> Disable the TCP chimney, Enable RSS and enable TCPA : you can find this under regedit => HKLM\CCS\Services\TCPIP - Parameters (reboot required)
for more information - http://exchangeserverinfo.com/2007/09/12/windows-2003-sp2-might-effect-exchange-server.aspx
> Give full control to Witness File Sharing folder for Cluster admin, cluster computer and both node servers as well.
