Hi World,
I am a new user to this forum. I want a help for the POP3 and SMTP settings.
We are having one mail server with the OS pack Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 on which exchange server is running. There are 50 active directory users having their separate exchange mail boxes for intranet. On our company's website as "companyname.com" which is hosted on external server we have created same mail IDs of these 50 users as name@companyname.com (Mail IDs for website and intranet are same). We want to send mails from the intranet account to the outsiders through exchange server with the help of our website and our ISP. Also we want to receive the mails on our site received to the indivisual users and routed to our common account as admin@companyname.com and again deliver to the indivisual user.
I want to confirm that, is this all feasible with the MS SBS 2003 pack or we have to purchase something like postmaster or exchange POP3 pack.
Is there anyone having idea about these settings. It will help me a lot if someone there confirms the feasibility of this project.
If it is so or if any other details are required please contact me through mail.
My mail ID is vishwanath22@hotmail.com
Please not that, we are not having a static IP to our exchange server in the company. We are using internal IP as "192.168._._." Also please note that, we are having POP3 and SMTP addresses of my company's website hosted on external server.
Thanks in advance
With Best Regards,

SBS 2003 includes a POP3 Connector natively, you can find it under the Connectors container object in the ESM console.
In order to send mail through your ISP you need to specify your ISP's SMTP gateway in the Smart Host box under the default SMTP connector (General tab) which is found t under the Connectors object contianer as well.

Dear Henrik Walther,
Thanks for your help.
For this, is it necessary to route our website's MX record to our mail server's IP? What are the changes in the settings of the POP3 and SMTP vertual servers from Exchange Server - System Manager - First Storage Group - Protocols ? Because at present we have mentioned our servers internal IP address in the default vertual servers of POP3 and SMTP at the above mentioned protocol option and we are able to use our exchange mail boxes configured for outlook web access without and ISP's connection. Is there any setting like using two POP3 and SMTP protocols and bridging them to collect the mails from internal exchange mail boxes and delivering the to our site's POP3 and SMTP address and to receive the mails from our site and route to the individual mail boxes of exchange users? Because with the help of Exchange POP3 software (Trial version) we are able receive the mails from our company's website and route them to the user on exchange server and the same for sending the mails from individual account. In this software we configured only one account from our site to receive and send email where our web hosting provider pointed the mails of our all users as admin@companyname.com
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
With Best Regards,
