Hi,

I have just migrated our Exchange 2003 organisation to Exchange 2007. I basically followed the precedure described in this article: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/migration-deployment/removing-last-exchange-2003-server-exchange-2007-part1.html and everything went well (no errors or nothing).

Now, when I edit the Default e-mail address policy (through the Exchange 2007 Mamagement Console), I get the following warnings:

Summary: 2 item(s). 2 succeeded, 0 failed.
Elapsed time: 00:00:03

Edit Default Policy
Completed

Exchange Management Shell command completed:
set-EmailAddressPolicy -Instance 'Default Policy'

Elapsed Time: 00:00:00

Apply Default Policy
Completed

Warning:
The recipient "mydomain.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/OAB Version 2" is invalid and could not be updated.

Warning:
The recipient "mydomain.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/Offline Address Book - \/o=mydomain\/cn=addrlists\/cn=oabs\/cn=Default " is invalid and could not be updated.

Warning:
The recipient "mydomain.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/Offline Address Book - First Administrative Group" is invalid and could not be updated.

Warning:
The recipient "mydomain.com/Microsoft Exchange System Objects/Schedule+ Free Busy Information - First Administrative Group" is invalid and could not be updated.

Exchange Management Shell command completed:
update-EmailAddressPolicy -Identity 'Default Policy'

Elapsed Time: 00:00:02

It seems to me that there is something wrong with the public folders, which I don't really understand since I did the migration according to the article (waited for the instances to dissapear etc.).

Also, I am not sure whether or not these warnings have any influence on my setup. Could they be the result of some carry-over from the previous Exchange 2003/2000 servers?

I am not to confident about the workings of the OAB, but I can confirm that the OAB folder is populated.

Anyone knows how to fix this, or if its even important? - I am not running clients prior to Outlook 2003 but I use OWA, Outlook Anywhere and ActiveSync (which all seems to work fine).

Best Regards

Jakob

Have been working with the Exchange 2007 server on its own for a couple of days now. Everything is working perfectly, including OWA, Outlook Anywhere, Autodiecovery (internal and external) and ActiveSync.

The OAB download is also working fine, so it seems that these warnings are in fact related to insignificant leftovers for the Exchange 2003 server.

Best regards
