Hello,

I've installed Exchange 2003 and also "Web-based Administration" using this tutorial on MSexchange.com:

http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Outlook-Web-Access-Web-based-Administration.html

Which user should I use to login to the Web-based Administration site?

Hiya, you will need a user that has admin rights over the registry on the target Exchange Servers.
Personally I would use a domain admin account.

The web admin tool essentially provides a web based front end which enables you to modify values in each Exchange Servers registry.
Hope that this helps.

Hi Andy,

Thanks for you reply, i've tryed loggin in as "Administrator" on the local box but that won't work. Should I create a new user for this, how should I give him access to the webbased administration?

Hiya, have you tried <NETBIOS Domain Name>\admin account user name?

In my setup the admin system is configured on a seperate server that does not have exchange installed on it.

The virtual directory in which owaadmin is installed in has Basic Authentication enabled to the domain under IIS.

Also remember that Accessing OWAADMIN is done over ssl - thusly the server url would be https://servername/owaadmin/

I hope this helps.

A
