Hello everyboby,

i'm stuck with an authentication problem.
We're using Exchange 2007, with the client access role installed on the same server.
Everything was working fine until something changed the authentication settings on IIS Virtual Directories. Don't ask how it happened, i need a deeper investigation.

Anyway, i managed to set the correct authentication kind almost everywere, and now OWA and Outlook RPCoverHTTPS and iPhones Activesync connections are ok.

But i still have a problem on:
Evolution clients on Linux (Exchange connection)
DavMail plugin for Thunderbird on Windows
Entourage 2010 on Mac OSX .

What is common between this clients is the use of WebDav, isn'it ?
I'm scanning Google but i cant get to find the correct configuration.

Testing web services i get this errors:

Id      : 1013
Type    : Error
Message : When contacting https://exchange.domain.local/EWS/Exchange.asmx received the error The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
Id      : 1016
Type    : Error
Message : [EXCH]-Error when contacting the AS service at https://exchange.domain.local/EWS/Exchange.asmx. The elapsed time was 31 milliseconds

Anybody can help please?

thanks very much in advance!

i have an update regarding this issue,
i did work out the WebServices problems, the cause was the authentication settings for EWS virtual directory were not inherited from the bin directory. Once applied the basic authentication to the bin folder i have no more error messages from Test-OutlookWebServices .

But the mail problem stil exists.
I did test the redirection and it doesnt work, i mean from the server i can open https://localhost/owa and it's ok, but https://localhost/exchange does not work, after the authentication request i get "The page cannot be found"

any idea would be helpful!
