Fellow MsExchange.org Users- I work with a company that has about 5800 users worldwide, and we currently use Lotus Notes/Domino 6.x. We have received approval to migrate to Exchange /Outlook this year. My question to this group is, knowing that the project will start in the next few months, should we go with Exchange 2003, or go straight to Exchange 2007? I am very interested in your thoughts, your experiences and lessons learned. Please Advise! Mark

I know I might get flack for this, but I would go with Exchange 2007 AFTER they release service pack 1. I know, I know... The new command shell is great for administrative tasks and scripts. But it is no excuse for not finishing the GUI. It seems to me by some of the posts I have read, and the limited time I have had using the beta, that some common tasks still need to be done on the new command line interface. I think the product has been rushed just to get it out there and I will let other people fix it for me. With 5800 users, you are going to want to work with something that is rock solid, and I don't think Ex2K7 is there, yet. It will be. When you build your project plan, be sure to build in a lot of lab time. Darryl
