Hello,

Can someone please provide some instructions on how to findout SMTP Server address for ms exchange? I am not able to find it within MS Outlook 2003 version.

Can I use the ip address of the server the exchange server is installed on? I have an application that allows me to either user an ip address for the smtp server or host name

Thanks,
B

I am a bit confused about this one, you mean you want to find your own Exchange Server Name / IP Address or some remote server.

If you are the administrator, open ESM and you would find it there.
Else, if you are the end-user - contact your administrator :)

Try working with Nslookup and set q=mx command would show you the mx record (basicaly the Exchange Record) for the domain you are trying to configure your OL. Type the domain name (hit enter) and you would be able to find out the mx records.
