Often when making changes in Excahnge, I'm asked to restart services for the cahnges to take affect. What services can I safely restart without affecting users on the system?

If I restart the information store service, it will knock users out.

Can I restat the System Attendant with out affecting users?

What services should I avoid restarting durring operating hours?

The only service that you can restart that doesn't affect users is the Transport service. Any others will bring down the store. System Attendant is the core service for Exchange, as it is the service that communicates with the AD.

As a rule I don't touch Exchange during production hours without notice.
