Hai Friends,
Nice morning....

I am new for Exchange Topics, i prepare for Exchange certification.

I installed Windows server 2003 R2 standard edition in two systems

First system name is Mdcsrv
Second System Name is Exgsrv

I install and configure active directory in the First server(Mdcsrv)

Here i strucked, that first server is Main server and have the domain.
So, where i run forestprep and domain prep

As per my knowledge,
Forest prep and domainprep is run in First server.
because the first server is main server, so Forestprep should run in first server
and domainprep also run in main server, because main server have the domain

Please confirm where i can run Domainprep?
1) in server where the domain information (Active Directory) is stored?
or
2) in server where Exchange server is instlled(Exgsrv)?

Please explain....
Thanks in Advance

You run forestprep and domainprep on any server that is a member of the domain.

Yes - you can run them on the same server on which you will install Exchange.
