Hello -

I will be installing an Edge server, a CAS server and everything else including Mailbox, HUB on another server.  It will integrate with an existing Exchange 2003 server.

Which component should be installed first?  Or does it matter?

Thanks...BirdDog

hi,

If you are installing all the roles in different servers then you need to install CAS as a first server because i guess it holds the system folder information then other roles.

If it is typical installation of all roles in server then no worries.

And guy's...I'm sure it goes without saying but let me verify, my Edge, CAS and I know about the Mailbox server all require Windows 64-bit OS, right?

I will be using Windows 2003 Standard R2 SP2.

Thanks...BirdDog

Hi mate,

you  can install edge during any point of time whenever you required. Alll servers require 64 bit ( i am sure you know about the prerequisite)
