I am trying to use XMERGE to create some PST files for some mailboxes. When I run it I get a permission error... I go to a mailbox and give the admin full mailbox access to that mailbox. XMERGE then works fine. My problem is that I do not want to have to edit every mailbox to manually give permissions. IS there a default group that already has inherent permissions to all exhchange mailboxes????

I do not see an exchange admin group. All I see is "exchange enterprise servers" & "Exchange Domain Servers"

Sorry, wasn't thinking.

What you should ideally do is 'delegate control', to do this you either right click the routing group in exchange system manager and select delegate control on a single routing group or you can set it on the entire exchange environment by right clicking on the root of the exchange environment and selecting delegate control, just run through the wizard to delegate control. This will set the desired control level on all exchange attributes within AD including the mailbox.
