As I know the method of microsoft will take too much memory and easy to fail. I have heard that other better methods in existence. But I forgot the detail.

Please kindly tell me, thanks in advance : )

what is it exactly you want to accomplish? Is it the Exchange database you want to move to another location? If yes checkout below article:

Dear Henrik Walther:

Thanks for your help. At my site, we want to move some mail boxs' storage to another drive in the same server. As if besides method of http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF001.html, there is a better method. But I don't know the exact content, just know it's better. Do u know better method? thanks.

So you perhaps want to split the mailboxes in multiple Mailbox Stores? Remember this is only possible when using the Exchange 2000 Enterprise.

You create new Mailbox Stores by right-clicking the Frist Storage Group Container then select New Mailbox Store.
