Is there a way (or an available tool) to see what username (i.e. administrator, etc.) is reading messages for a particular user? We have given our internal auditors rights to view all messages but they are only supposed to use for extreme circumstances. I want to monitor what mailboxes and messages they are reading.
Thanks!

You can look inside ESM at the "logons" - ESM | Administrative Groups | <Admin Group Name> | Servers | <Server Name> | <Storage Group Name> | <Mail Store Name> | Logons. That will show you what user opened what mailbox at what time.

Hi Scott!
ESM means Exchange System Manager and is normally found in the Programs->Microsoft Exchange folder on your start menu. BTW, the tip atguilmette gave will work fine, but it will only show who was the *last* person to access the mailbox. In other words, if your internal auditors access a given mailbox and later in the day someone else (perhaps the user him/herself) accesses the mailbox the information is lost! Instead activate diagnostic logging. This is done in the ESM->Servers->"your server"->Properties->Diagnostic logging. Check the options under MSExchangeIS->Private. Run some tests and find some suitable settings (i.e. categories and logging level) which will provide the information you need.
Good luck!
// Johan
