I'm successfuly downloading the OAB, but I don't think I should be able to: - New OAB called "E12 Default Offline Address book"
- Assigned this new OAB as the Default for the Mailbox store on my test E12 server
- Mailbox for test client is moved to that store
- The OAB is set for every Outlook client, Web-based distribution & Public Folder distribution
- My test client (me) is at home on Outlook 2007
- I'm using Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTPS), I'm notVPN'd in
- All internal and external URL's have been defined in the various places (Outlook Anywhere, OWA, OAB, etc.)
- I used the Test Network... thing and I got all the URL's I thought I was supposed to for OOF, OAB, etc.
- I made a change to the GAL yesterday
- I checked, change was not reflected on my client
- I manually (Send Receive-->Download Address Book)
- I got the changes
What's got me puzzled is that I just noticed that my /OAB virtual directory is set to "Windows Integrated Authentication" only. No Basic, no Anonymous. Since I'm using a generic, non-SMB-aware firewall (SonicWall) that doesn't transfer any Windows auth messages... how did I download the address book? Did it fallback to the Public Folders?
