Will email forwarding feature cause endless loop? - 31.Aug.2005 4:18:00 AM

Let say user A has an exchange email account, a@abc.com and a yahoo account a@yahoo.com.

1. In exchange account, user A create a rule to forward all received emails to a@yahoo.com.
2. In yahoo account, user A create a rule to forward all received eamils to a@abc.com.

Will this setting cause the indefinite loop between the exchange server and yahoo account?

If yes, how to prevent this to happen?

configure yahoo to exclude "a@abc.com" from the forwarding rule?

Apparently, yahoo doesn't provide rule forwarding. It purely forward all the emails. Anyone has tested this before?

Yes, it will loop endlessly when the Yahoo mailbox hits it's size limit. The only ways to stop this are to either prevent forwarding to outside domains, or place limits on the mailboxes to prohibit send and receive at a certain size.
