This question pertains to Henrik Walther's 6/2/2011 article "Enabling Kerberos Authentication for MAPI Clients Connecting to Exchange 2010 SP1".
I know that some of my Outlook 2003 users are configured for "Password Authentication (NTLM)" instead of "Kerberos/NTLM Password Authentication". When I follow Henrik's procedure to enable Kerberos on my load-balanced CAS Array, will Kerberos authentication then be attempted first followed by a fallback to an NTLM authentication attempt for those clients or will only Kerberos authentication be supported (which would prevent those clients from connecting)?
