I have a Windows 2000 Server running Exchange 5.5 that is a member of an NT 4.0 domain. The machine appears in the domain when I browse the network, but when I try to access it I get "The computer or share name could not be found..." On the PDC, a machine account exists for this, but I am also unable to access the machine from the server manager. When I choose to view Domain members only in the server manager I do not see this machine listed. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried removing it from the domain and re-adding it?

He's right, you need to remove it first and then go in and re add it. It took about four tries before this worked for me and I am using the same setup. I am guessing that you also understand that this 2000 server must be member server and can not be a domain controller.
