Windows 2000 Server Exchange client - 20.Dec.2001 12:01:00 AM

ok - I need to have the exchange client on a windows 2000 server - so i can set up a profile for SQL SErver to use... How do I install the client and where do i find it?

Hi Sandy!

In our Exchange server CD package there was an Outlook client on CD included. Otherwise the Outlook client is available in the Office program suite.

I do believe that there is a utility that ships with SQL 2000 so that you can create a MAPI-profile (which is required to have SQL e-mail reports etc.) and then you can use Outlook Express (which comes natively with W2K and IE) instead.

You have to install Microsoft Outlook 2000. It is the client software compatible and approriate for Exchange 2000 Server. During setup it will prompt you to type in the name of your Exchange server.
