Me again. I have installed Exchange 5.5 sp4 on a windows 2000 server. I added the service account to the local administrators group per MS instructions and everything is running fine except for one thing. When I attempt to add a new address book view I get a DS_E_INSUFFICIENT_PERMISSIONS error even if I'm logged into the machine as domain/administrator. A knowledbase search doesnt' bring up anything. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

i assume during the install you pointed the 5.5 service account to the one that you made on the box thats now a member of the admins?

also is this installed in a domain controler or a 2k member?

i have done this set up and works fine.

Actually, I created the service account on the nt4 domain controller before installation and made that account a member of the local admin group. I haven't had any other permission issues besides the address book view. I can add/modify/delete recepients, connectors, you name it. This is isolated only to the address book view object. I'm afraid I might have to start completely reinstall exchange. What other kinds of issues have you run into running 5.5 on Windows 2000? Any advice is much appreciated as I'm a newby exchange admin.
