While running the ForestPrep from the Exchange 2003 Enterprise CD on a
Windows 2003 R2 fully patched machine, a windows pops up saying that
Exchange Server 2003 has known compatibility issues with this version of
windows, and refers to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=37488
The link takes me to http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/evaluation/sysreqs/2003.mspx
which says nothing about incompatibility issues.

I suspect that since this is a non-SP version of Exchange 2003 Enterprise,
that I will need to run Exchange 2003 SP1 and SP2 after install. Will this
be acceptable or am I going to have to slipstream SP1 and/or SP2 in the base
Exchange 2003 Enterprise disk?

Hi,

You can safely ignore this message. Just install exchange 2003 sp2 after the initial installation and you should be fine.
