Hello,
I am having trouble getting Windows 2003 SP1 installed on my E2K3 SP1 server. I keep getting an error that states "catalog files could not be updated". Has anyone else seen this? I don't know if it's a W2K3 SP1 error after the unsuccessful install of W2K3 SP1 or an error from E2K3. Have a lot of you installed SP1 for Windows 2003 on your Exchange 2003 servers and had everything work correctly afterwards?

I have installed SP1 on several Exchange Servers with different rolesą FE, BE, BE running in cluster, and havenĘt had any issues at all. [ May 06, 2005, 10:17 PM: Message edited by: Martina ]

Haven't had this specific problem either, it may be worth trying below commands from a command prompt (will rename the catroot2 folder and make a new):
net stop cryptsvc ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2 net start cryptsvc
Then start the update again.
Let me know whether it works or not.
