Ok, so I've succesfully used the move server wizard to move my Exchange 5.5 server to a new domain / hardware / site / organisation. Now I need to recreate the profiles on the users PC's. Most of my clients are XP Pro and everyone logs onto the network, so the profiles I need to re-create are network profiles stored on the local machine. I've logged on as local admin to some of the PC's and attempted to delete the old profile so that it can be recreated, but some process is still locking the profile, so I can't delete it!
Anyone know of the correct way to rebuild an XP profile, or at least have any pointers as to what is locking them up so that I can get rid and start again?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

It was what was prescribed by Microsoft! In the end though, I managed to repoint to the new server no probs.
Unfortunately, when the old server was taken offline, the Outlook clients now still attempt to look for resources on the old server, even though they are pointing towards the new one. This hangs Outlook 97 after about 15 secs! I have scoured the registry for entries for the old server and found nothing.
I have a feeling that ithey may be looking for forms from the origonal server, but can't pinpoint it exactly.
Anyone got any ideas?
Andy
