I have 10 permanent remote users. Currently using VPN to access exchange server. All is working okay but synchronizing is slow slow slow !

Is there a better way to access mail remotely (not WA) ?

Thanks.

VPN just more secure.

Use any dialup assuming you have access permissions for dialup and network.

Yes, I know it, VPN is more secure... but what if I don't want to install VPN ?

Can I still connect Outlook and Exchange over Internet ? What do i have to setup?

Thanks,
PABLO

if the exchange server has a static internet ip address, without any ports blocked, then add a line in the client's c:\windows\hosts file with the server's external ip address and its netbios name, like:

12.34.56.89 EXCHANGESERVER

should work
vpn is better tho, since the rpc ports are a vulnerability.
