Hello,

We have a server that has the IMC enable so it can receive SMTP mail. It is configured against 3rd party relaying.

This server talks to another exchange server. Our server handles SMTP mail, but all other traffic including traffic between the internal sites goes to the second exchange server. The corporate site needs only X.400 traffic.

An X.400 connector was configured prior to me being here it has under the address space an entry for X.400 addresses which is correct.

It also has an entry for SMTP with type SMTP and address * What does this do? My concern is that
while we do not allow relaying is this routing SMTP messages via this connector? Only X.400 traffic should go between these connectors not SMTP traffic.

Thanks in advance.

Miguel.

Outside users will not have access to your X.400 address except those whom you dirrep with. If you only want X.400 traffic to go across then remove the SMTP address Space from the X.400 connector.
