I have two sites in Organization and on both IMS is configured for SMTP mails.I ahve one lease line which directly connects sites and x.400 is configured for mail tranfer within organization. Is it possible that user at both sites can still recieve mails if my lease line goes down. Both the server in respective sites are having real IP address.

What are the costs for your connectors & is the second X400 connector using another transmission medium i.e. Ethernet cabling, Fibre??

Do you also have IMS connectors in each site & MX records assigned to the Exchnage Servers?

The question is really dependant on your physical network connectivity - if you just have your leased line for connectivity between sites and that goes down - then the answer is NO, you will not be able to connect to each site. If your are using a slow dialup for your second X400 connector you will be able to communicate should your primary link (leased line) fail....
