In the standard Winnt Backup program, under Tools->Options->Exclude Files, why is the M: mount included here?

I'd assumed that backing it up would be a good idea.

There is a patch somewhere regarding NTBackup and Exchange servers, I believe specifically for virtually drive M, and that there have been problems.

As long as you can do online backups of Exchange, which you can, w/ NTBackup, I would not backup M.

You can also do offline backups by just backing up .edb and .stm files when Information Store Service is stopped.

Messing around w/ virtual drive M should be avoided.
