Hello Jaswinder,
I for sure think that sending external mail is no big problem at all belive me its all what you have done untill now plus exposing your box over the internet well let me make it more clear to you ,

Just see that your Server i mean E2K server is over the internet firstly,
then just try retriving your pop mails on a local mail client like outlook i know this is not what you are looking for but this way you are making sure that you are getting all the internal transported mail [Smile]
Now that when you are exposed to the internet not being concerned about the firewalls or any other stuff just try sending an email to your own yahoo account it should work since the SMTP bone is contended to move the mail over the network no matter thats a pvt network or a wan or what not thats what technology is all about
try it out if you need technical details in case you get into any kind of problems then please do let me know i would furnish you with step by step procedure to do the same
good luck
raj
