I have two questions about aliases. Question 1: How do I setup an alias domain? example: mail@domain2.com needs to forward mail to mail@domain1.com. Question 2: Can I setup an alias email address without creating a new AD user? Thanks Phillip

If both domains are in the accepted domain list on the server then just add the second address to the account. You can have as many email addresses on an account as you like. Simon.

Thanks Simon. Should the second domain be authorative?

That depends. That is like asking if I need to cross the road. You need to look at whether it needs to be authoritive or not. For the purposes of this question it does not, but whether it does in the context of your email management is something that you have to decide. Simon.

Thanks Simon. I talked our ISP that is hosting the domain and they are handling the routing of mail for both domains on their end. Its just an alias, i.e. domainus.com mail gets routed to domainusa.com. I don't think that I have to do anything specail on my end. What do you think?

Is the Exchange server going to be the only server that is responsible for email for that domain? If so then it needs to be authoritative. Simon.

Thanks Simon. Yes, the Exchange Server will be the only server responsible mail. the domainusa.com is the authoritive domain. So, if I understand you corectly, I need to add an authorative domain for domainus.com. Is that correct? Phillip
