Hi,

In the restriction settings for the relay permissions I would like to know if I can add the ip adress of the server itself (127.0.0.1)for ("except below" adresses) In this article http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF005.html I see no ip adress specified.

The server itslef does not need to be able to relay off itself. it can send mail using its own SMTP server. the need to allow relaying is for exteral servers that want to use the SMTP server on the exchnage box. IE a web server or alert server of some kind.
