hello.  I'll soon be migrating our Exchange 2003 environment to an Exchange 2007 environment.  When doing this I realize that I'll need 64-bit servers for Exchange.  Are there any issues with these being the only 64-bit servers in AD?  I recall reading somewhere that I may need to use a 32 bit version of Exchange to prepare AD for 2007 if I dont have any 64 bit domain controllers in the domain.

thanks in advance.

Exchange 2007 works with 32-bit and 64-bit AD. Not a problem.

That's not true.  Just prep with your 64-bit media and 64-bit soon-to-be Exchange Server and you'll be fine.  The problem is when not all your Domain Controllers are at least 2003 SP1 and even then, you still use 64-bit media and 64-bit Server and just run setup.com /domaincontroller to point to a SP1 DC.  I still recommend making sure all your DCs are at least Server 2003 SP1.  Any domain you prep will require at least a 2003 SP1.  Make sure the Schema Master is 2003 SP1.

Elan is correct. I have this already up and running now for a few months and have had no issues other than a few MS updates crashing Exchange... I rolled back off that and they are now claiming that they have corrected that problem. Nice of them to do that AFTER the release.

Well first of all the 32-bit version of Exchange is NOT supported in a production environment. Running Exchange as the only 64-bit server is NOT an issue!
