bit of a long subject, but I suppose it describes my question well :)

I wold like to use the 2010 archive mailboxes to twice a year dump lets say emails that are 1year to 1.5 years old (keeping last 1 year in standard mailbox) , but other than this event twice a year I cannot have people putting items in or taking items out of these archives so they would have to be accessible, but locked/change protected.

is this possible?

if I leave it up to the users then

1) they will be too lazy and won't move items
2) I will have to constantly backup archive mailboxes which I would like to avoid except 2x/year
