I want to automatically delete all messages in a public folder after they are 'n' days old. THis is easy to do in a mailbox folder running outlook, but I can find a way to do it for a public folder.

The rules on a public folder don't seem to provide a way to specify the number of days, etc.

Thanx!

I don't think this is possible to do without using a third party program or create an on timer event sink on the exchange server.

When I read your post i read archive all items in public folder, not delete [Wink] You can set a delete item after x days in the system manager on the exchange server. You have to be admin on the Exchange server to do this.

The only setting you can set on a public folder is how long want to keep deleted items. My advice is to use a on timer event sink to delete old items. You might be able to create a macro to do the job too.

How about third party products? Anyone know of a product that would do this?

My problem is time, I simply don't have any time to write my own solution...

Thanx!
