Hi,
I have recently purchased a spam filter. Problem is that the spammers are ignore all my MX records. How can i block port 25 on the exchange box except from a defined ip address? (the spam applicance)

How can spammers connect to your Exchange Server on port 25/TCP if it's located on your internal network? Or does it have a public IP address?

Must be public IP and they have got the IP address of the mail server.

I believe you can set this from the SMTP server properties in System Manager. Under the Access tab, "Connection Control"

yes its a public IP.

I first created a permit policy in my firwall for the spam filter IP addres then i created a deny policy in my firewall for everything.

works perfect
